Optiweb, a company specialising in website optimisation, has been selected as the winner of a competition for the best motivational campaign at an event hosted by AmCham Slovenia in Ljubljana as part of its Best of the Best programme.
Optiweb's campaign, Opticulture, builds on the needs of the growing company. The company's CEO is available to staff for a talk over coffee and on Mondays employees discuss issues that are not directly related to their work but connect them. On Fridays, the work of the past week is reviewed and the biggest flops are celebrated.
Urška Stanovnik and Nataša Ravnikar of Optiweb also pointed to the programme of student internship, where the company enables young students to get practical experience and receives fresh ideas and information from their potential new co-workers in return. The programme also has a charity note, as students are tasked with preparing projects for NGOs which had joined the project. The service is free of charge for the NGO.
The other two finalists were Lump of Kindness of the national auto club AMZS and Do You Accept Challenge? by energy company Petrol.
The AMZS launched its Lump of Kindness last December during the Christmas holidays. The idea is that every unit and department of the company ads a positive thought to the Lump and the AMZ then donates a euro for each though to the charity association Red Noses. More than 71% of AMZS employees took part in the campaign, which can be applied in every company, family or team.
Petrol meanwhile promoted the health of its staff by creating ten sports challenges in ten months for its employees across the country. Despite the competitions being held on Saturdays, more than 100 employees took part. Marta Svoljšak Jerman of Petrol said the campaign encouraged team spirit, boldness, built trust, and promoted thinking outside the box. They plan to continue with the campaign.
Optiweb, the winner in the category Motivation of the programme, will now join the finalists in the categories of Innovation and Collaboration to compete for the title of Best of the Best. Last year the winner was Spar's project Start Up Slovenia!.
